The Metal-FX® process
"NOTICE: this list is no longer updated, as this type of stamp is no longer considered to be unusual."
The MetalFX® process metallic colour system requires only one extra ink in addition to the standard four colour process set. The MetalFX Base silver ink is the first colour to be used on the press, with CMYK values then overprinted in the usual manner. The transparency of the CMYK allows the high lustre MetalFX® Base silver ink to shine through, creating a whole new spectrum of vibrant metallics. MetalFX® colours encompass the entire colour spectrum, creating 104 million metallics. This technique can create and print simulated holograms, three-dimensional and anti-counterfeiting effects.
